Bubble Planet Officially Opens in Doraville: How Exhibition Hub Launched Its Newest Hit
The exhibit follows a one-way pedestrian circuit designed to manage foot traffic and prevent bottlenecks. Each room introduces a distinct sensory hook, alternating between high-energy physical zones and quieter, visual environments:
- The Giant Ball Pit: The undisputed focal point of the venue. Visitors kick off their shoes and submerge themselves in a heated, illuminated sea of thousands of translucent plastic spheres. Overhead projections simulate oceanic currents and rolling clouds.
- The Bubble Ocean: Hundreds of dangling, color-shifting LED spheres hang from floor to ceiling. Mirrors line every perimeter wall, creating an infinite horizon of glowing globes that respond to sound frequencies.
- The Cloud Room: A tactile pause filled with soft inflatable loungers and drifting fog pillows illuminated by pastel uplighting. It mimics the sensation of resting inside atmospheric moisture.
- The Selfie Illusion Corridor: Engineered specifically for photo opportunities, this series of miniature sets uses forced perspective, mirrored infinity boxes, and distorted angles to create surreal social media snapshots.
- The Soap Bubble Dome: Technicians release streams of smoke-filled soap bubbles that burst into aromatic mist upon contact, surrounded by swirling laser projections.
The transitions between rooms are deliberately abrupt. Moving from a darkened corridor glowing with ultraviolet light into an expansive room painted in bright bubblegum pink resets the visitor's sensory baseline. It prevents the visual numbness that often plagues single-theme exhibitions.
