Castaway Island at T. Y. Park 2026 Schedule: Operating Days, Seasonal Shifts, and Weather Alerts
Q1: Can I bring outside coolers and picnic lunches into Castaway Island?
A1: No coolers, glass containers, or outside food trays are permitted inside the fenced water park perimeter. Coolers are welcome throughout the rest of T.Y. Park at exterior picnic tables and rented shelters, and hand-stamped or wristbanded guests can exit and re-enter at will.
Q2: What happens if it rains during our water park session?
A2: The facility remains open during standard rain, but clears all water areas immediately if lightning strikes within 10 miles. Under county park policy, staff do not issue refunds or rain checks for weather-related suspensions.
Q3: Are water wings or puddle jumpers allowed for toddlers?
A3: Inflatable arm bands and pool floats are barred from all pools. Only USCG-approved life jackets (including certified puddle jumpers with USCG stamps) are allowed inside the interactive playground and swimming lagoon.
Q4: Do adults have to pay if they are only watching their children play?
A4: Yes. All guests entering the gated perimeter of Castaway Island must pay the full admission fee, regardless of whether they plan to enter the water.
