Costco Casper Mattress Buyer’s Guide: Sizes, Firmness, and Real Longevity

Dive deep into Costco Casper Mattress Buyer’s Guide: Sizes, Firmness, and Real Longevity with our latest coverage.

Casper designs the Select line exclusively for Costco, mirroring the automotive strategy of delivering warehouse club packages with subtle structural adjustments. While Casper's own website features the Original and newer Snow or Wave hybrid models, Costco inventories both the Casper Select Memory Foam and the Casper Select Hybrid. The all-foam version measures 12 inches in height, compared to the 11-inch profile found on the standard flagship.

That extra inch comes from an adjusted base layer rather than extra plushness. The Casper Select memory foam construction stacks four layers: a breathable open-cell foam top layer, a high-density pressure-relieving memory foam layer, a transitional zoned support system layer, and a dense polyurethane support core. Casper engineered the top foam to maintain airflow and avoid the deep, trapped heat typical of legacy 1990s viscoelastic mattresses.

Underneath that surface lies the zoned support system. The foam under the shoulders is cut softer to allow lateral sinkage and alleviate pressure on the rotator cuff during side sleeping. Conversely, the core section under the hips and lumbar spine features firmer resistance, preventing the pelvis from dipping too low and pulling the lower spine out of alignment. This ergonomic design prevents morning stiffness without requiring moving coil units.
