1. Disable Profile Association in App Settings
To prevent your account profile from displaying on destination screens:
- Open the profile dashboard and tap the three-line menu icon in the upper-right corner.
- Navigate to Settings and Privacy, then tap Privacy.
- Select Suggest your account to others.
- Disable the toggle beside People who open or send links to you.
Turning this option off decouples the active profile banner from outbound URLs, leaving recipients on the standard web video player without sender details.
2. Manual URL Parameter Stripping
Users sharing to public platforms can manually strip out tracking metadata. Paste the shortened link into an incognito browser window, allow the page to expand completely, and inspect the resulting URL string.
Delete everything following the 19-digit video identity number:
- `https://www.tiktok.com/@creator/video/7123456789012345678`
The cleaned URL retains complete video functionality, works across all platforms, and strips out every trace of personal user identity.
