From Heidi Klum to Melissa Mccarthy: the Most Shocking Celebrity Old Lady Transformations
Before Heidi Klum arrived at her 14th annual Halloween party in 2013, celebrity disguise was largely about vanity-preserving caricature. Stars wore tight superhero suits or glamorous fantasy gear. Klum shattered that expectation by commissioning Oscar-winning makeup artist Bill Corso to transform her into an 80-year-old version of herself. The process took over ten hours of meticulous application.
The team avoided store-bought masks entirely, opting for multi-piece prosthetic aging makeup cast in translucent platinum silicone. Corso applied separate pieces over her forehead, neck, decolletage, hands, and legs. Every vein was individually painted using alcohol-activated pigments to mimic subcutaneous blood vessels. Thin layers of translucent paint captured the crepey, parchment-like quality of thinning skin. Instead of leaning into a cartoonish caricature, Klum accessorized with a tailored houndstooth suit, pearls, and a walking cane, creating a hauntingly plausible window into her own biological future. The stunt set a high-water mark for what an elderly character costume could achieve outside a film set.
