In-N-out Gift Card Complete Guide: How to Buy, Check Balance, and Redeem
Redeeming an In-N-Out card is straightforward across all service formats. During drive-thru redemption, hand the physical card to the cashier at the pay window before retrieving your meal. If using a digital e-gift card, adjust your smartphone screen brightness to maximum and present the digital barcode for the cashier to scan using a mobile hand scanner.
Split transactions are standard operating practice. If an order total exceeds the remaining balance, the point-of-sale system drains the card to zero and prompts the cashier to collect the remaining difference via cash, debit, or credit card. Multiple store cards can also be stacked to pay for a single order.
Cards cover everything sold under the restaurant roof, including food, beverages, and promotional paper hats. However, they cannot be used to purchase additional gift cards. Corporate store merchandise, such as t-shirts, canvas shoes, and beach towels sold at standalone In-N-Out Company Store retail locations in California and Texas, also accepts these cards as valid tender.
