Is the Adopt Me March 27 Jackpot Real or a Clever Community Hoax?
While some creators fabricated the rumor purely for algorithmic watch-time metrics, a more dangerous component quickly attached itself to the trend. Bad actors began publishing tutorials showing "how to register your Roblox username for the March 27 payout." These tutorials directed viewers to spoofed landing pages mimicking official Roblox or Uplift Games branding.
These phishing portals prompt users to input their login credentials, account passwords, and session cookies under the guise of an "identity verification check." Once submitted, automated credential-stuffing tools harvest the data, bypass two-step verification where session cookies are stolen, and initiate trades that strip accounts of their highest-value pets. The Roblox security team and independent cybersecurity researchers have warned repeatedly that no legitimate developer event will ever ask for credentials outside the secure client.
