Is the Gorlock the Destroyer Call of Duty Skin Real? Viral Video Proof Fact-Checked
The transition from podcast meme to gaming hoax gathered momentum when video editors noticed how well the "Gorlock" caricature fit shooter tropes. Call of Duty has a well-documented history of releasing offbeat crossover bundles. Recent titles featured franchise tie-ins ranging from Godzilla and King Kong to Nicki Minaj and Snoop Dogg. Because Activision frequently blurs the line between tactical realism and absurd pop culture, the concept of a ridiculous novelty operator did not seem impossible to casual players.
Circulating clips typically follow a precise format. A player records their monitor with a smartphone to simulate a leaked build. The screen navigates through the official Call of Duty in-game store, scrolls past existing bundles, and lands on a title card reading "Tracer Pack: Gorlock the Destroyer Operator Bundle." The character model features a heavily exaggerated digital likeness of Lopez wearing tactical tactical webbing, backed by personalized voice lines lifted from the *Whatever podcast* audio track. To casual viewers scrolling through mobile feeds, the presentation looked authentic.
