Kcd2 Damaged Arms Breakdown: Combat Stats, Bow Penalty Tests, and Survival Metrics
Players often rely on heavy shields as an insurance policy against tough enemies. That defense fails the moment the off-hand arm takes severe trauma.
In Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, shield blocking efficiency is tethered directly to left-arm condition. Blocking absorbs incoming weapon momentum by redirecting force down the forearm and shoulder. When that arm is broken or mangled, deflecting an opponent’s strike causes immense blunt transfer.
Blocking a heavy polearm or war hammer with a crippled off-arm consumes more than half of Henry's stamina bar in a single strike. Once stamina empties, Henry drops his guard, suffers a heavy stagger animation, and stands vulnerable to an execution strike. Players who face aggressive enemies with a shattered shield arm are far better off shedding shield weight entirely, switching to a single-handed blade, and relying on dodge mechanics rather than absorbing hits on a broken guard.
