Lil Mabu and Chrisean Rock's Tiktok Billboard Surge: Tracking the Viral Numbers
Q1: What specific chart milestones did "Mr. Take Ya B-tch" reach?
The collaboration reached No. 1 on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 chart in November 2023. It also crossed over into the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, debuting at No. 96, which marked Chrisean Rock's first appearance on that chart.
Q2: How does Billboard track rankings for the TikTok Top 50?
The chart tracks a combination of creations, total video views, and user engagements within the United States. It monitors songs that demonstrate the highest rate of user activity, rather than simply measuring passive audio playback.
Q3: Did the song maintain its position on traditional streaming services?
The track generated tens of millions of streams on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube during its initial release window. While it experienced rapid initial spikes due to social media buzz, it operated like many viral releases, showing a sharp drop in consumption once the underlying dispute left public conversation.
