Mason Thames and Mckenna Grace Relationship Timeline: from 'Regretting You' to 'Nimrods'
The origins of their partnership trace directly to the set of Regretting You. Adapted from Colleen Hoover’s best-selling 2019 novel, the production required intense emotional vulnerability from its young leads. Grace took on the role of Clara, while Thames portrayed Miller, her steadfast love interest. Navigating high-stakes grief and coming-of-age romance on screen forced the two actors to build rapid trust behind the camera.
Crew members frequently noted their mutual rapport during filming breaks in mid-2025. Between takes, Thames and Grace bonded over music, shared film references, and the unique pressures of navigating child stardom into adulthood. While onscreen chemistry often dissipates when directors call wrap, their off-set connection deepened steadily throughout post-production.
