When Is Cristiano Ronaldo's Birthday? Exact Date, Current Age, and Career Records Explained
One of Ronaldo's most impressive late-career badges was his dominance in UEFA Champions League action after crossing his mid-thirties. Over his final campaigns with Real Madrid and Juventus, Ronaldo accumulated an astonishing scoring record in European knockout ties while well past the age of 35.
That record finally moved in the spring of 2025. On April 9, 2025, Polish international Robert Lewandowski struck for FC Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals, netting his 14th goal in the competition past the age of 35. With that strike, Lewandowski officially surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo as the player with the most Champions League goals scored after turning thirty-five.
The handover highlighted an important reality: Ronaldo established the modern blueprint for veteran scoring, which seasoned professionals like Lewandowski now follow. Ronaldo's total Champions League record remains secure at 140 career goals, putting him ahead of Lionel Messi (129) and Lewandowski in all-time European Cup history.
